1. Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of buildmode.ca and truckandtablet.ca (together, the "Sites"), operated by Buildmode Digital Inc. ("Buildmode," "we," "us," or "our"), a company based in London, Ontario, Canada.
By visiting the Sites, downloading a free resource, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Sites or purchase our products.
2. Products & Digital Downloads
We sell digital products delivered instantly on purchase, including but not limited to:
- The free "Quote in 10 Minutes" 5-prompt pack (email signup, no charge)
- The Contractor's Quote Pack ($17 CAD)
- The Contractor's AI Toolkit ($47 CAD)
- Legacy digital guides sold under our general "build in public / AI" product line (The 7-Day Sprint, The Prompt Vault, Building My AI Empire, the Buildmode Starter Pack)
All purchases are processed by Gumroad, a third-party payment and delivery platform. We do not collect or store your full payment card details — Gumroad handles that directly.
A future SaaS product, Truck & Tablet, is planned for 2026. Joining the waitlist is free and does not obligate you to purchase anything when it launches.
3. License to Use What You Buy
When you purchase a digital product from us, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that product within your own business.
- You may use the prompts, templates, and templates internally, share them with employees or contractors working in your own shop, and adapt them for your own use.
- You may not resell, redistribute, or share a paid product with another business owner who has not purchased it themselves.
- You may not claim authorship of our content or repackage it as your own product for sale.
- Free resources (like the 5-prompt pack) are free for personal/business use by anyone who signs up — they are not licensed for resale either.

4. Disclaimers & No Professional Advice
Our products are prompts, templates, and educational content designed to help service businesses save time on admin work. They are tools, not guarantees.
- AI-generated output can be wrong. It does not diagnose equipment problems, verify part numbers or pricing, or know local codes, your supplier agreements, or your service area — always review AI-drafted content before sending it to a customer.
- We make no guarantee of specific results (time saved, revenue gained, reviews earned, or no-shows prevented). Outcomes depend on how the tools are used.
- Nothing on the Sites or in our products is legal, tax, financial, or safety advice. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your business.
- The 3-Tax Diagnostic on truckandtablet.ca produces estimates based on rough industry averages, for illustration only — not a guaranteed or audited calculation of your actual losses.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buildmode Digital Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Sites or our products, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that specific product.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Sites and within our products — copy, prompts, templates, design, branding, and the Buildmode and Truck & Tablet names and logos — is owned by Buildmode Digital Inc. or used under license, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it outside the license described in Section 3 without our written permission.
7. Governing Law & Changes to These Terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Sites after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
8. Privacy Policy
This section explains what information we collect through the Sites, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
8.1 What We Collect
- Email address — when you sign up for a free download, the SaaS waitlist, or a newsletter, via our email provider (Kit/ConvertKit).
- Name, business details, and application answers — if you apply to the Truck & Tablet Design Partner program (stored in Airtable).
- Purchase information — handled directly by Gumroad when you buy a product; we receive confirmation of the purchase but not your full payment card details.
- Diagnostic answers — your selections in the 3-Tax Diagnostic are processed in your browser to calculate an estimate. We do not store these answers unless you separately submit your email through the form on that page.
- Basic technical data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.
8.2 How We Use It
- To deliver the product or resource you requested
- To send you emails you've opted into (product updates, the newsletter, waitlist announcements) — you can unsubscribe at any time
- To evaluate and respond to Design Partner applications
- To improve our products and Sites based on aggregate usage patterns
- To meet legal, accounting, or security obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
8.4 Your Rights & Choices
- Unsubscribe from any email list at any time using the link in the email, or by contacting us.
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to records we're legally required to keep (e.g., purchase records for tax purposes).
- Correct inaccurate information by contacting us directly.
Our Sites and products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
